Nearly 1,000 parking spots close indefinitely in Hollywood Beach

The parking spots close Monday at midnight to make way for the future Margaritaville Beach Resort

HOLLYWOOD BEACH, Fla. – Hollywood Beach will lose nearly 1,000 parking spaces Monday at midnight.

200 street spots and the Johnson Street garage, which holds 630 parking spaces, will be closed to make way for the future Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort.

On the bright side, there are still 2,000 other public spots, as well as private lots for parking. For more information about other places to park, click here.

The Miami Herald reports that the resort, which is scheduled to be completed in two years, will have a parking garage with 600 public spaces.
