A new head lice policy is now in effect for Broward County schools.
Effective immediately, students who get head lice can attend school.
The Broward County school district says lice isn't connected to any disease.
School district officials are concerned about students missing too much school.
They're asking parents to report to the school when a child is affected so each school can check the heads of other children.
