Store owners said it's coffee and nitrogen.

The owners bought the coffee house last fall and they say it's the first place in Connecticut to offer "nitro coffee." It's a new way to get your caffeine fix, but it's creamier. It's more like a Guinness stout, just without the alcohol.

"It's much less bitter," said Cindy Rowland, with Peaberry's Cafe. "That's the smoothness that you're tasting, so we put that under nitrogen so that it pours like a Guinness and the creaminess is heightened."

The nitro coffee craze can be traced to the West Coast, and now it's moved nto Connecticut.

"I think it's really good," siad Kerry Perissi, of Simsbury. "It's smooth and it's kinda sweet-ish for a coffee, but it's good."

"About two weeks ago, I saw a picture actually on Peaberry's Facebook page and I just looked at it and said, I have to have that, so," said Emily Sarkis, of Simsbury.

It's $4 for a 16-ounce pour.

"This, you know, I can just drink it straight," Rowland said. "I don't have to put any of my fancy stuff in it, just on it's own, it's really exciting."
