Pedestrian fatally struck in Broward County

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – A pedestrian was fatally struck while attempting to walk across Northwest 136th Avenue on Monday around 5:18 p.m.

Broward Sheriff's Office deputies said Ronald William Crossley, 52, of Sunrise, was crossing from the east side of the road to the west side of the road when a '99 Ford Explorer, driven by Cristian Gabrial Chaves Ghia, 24, struck him.

Crossley was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies said Ghia was not injured.
