Surveillance video shows Trukita Scott leaving work on day of disappearance

MIAMI ā€“ A missing Fort Lauderdale woman's car has been found in Miami's Liberty City neighborhood and was brought to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department on Tuesday.

Ā Trukita Scott, 24, was last seen Wednesday at the U-Haul office in West Park where she works. Local 10 News obtained surveillance video of her leaving work before she disappeared.Ā 

Her family first became concerned when she did not return home that day to pick up her children from day care.

Miami police confirmed Tuesday that Scott's car -- a champagne 2007 Nissan Altima -- was found along 40th Street off Northwest 10th Avenue in a Liberty City neighborhood.

According to Local 10's Glenna Milberg, Scott's family said the car had been in that same spot in Liberty City since the day she was last seen. The family was the first to spot Scott's car last Wednesday.

Police said Scott is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 135 pounds. She is believed to be endangered.

Detectives said they aren't releasing information about the contents of the car or its condition.
