According to a police report, Alexander told businesses she was a producer for FOX 29 and also worked for Love Public Relations. She said for $3,500, she'd produce a television show call "The Best of the Palm Beaches" highlighting the businesses.

While business owners saw clips on YouTube, the special never aired and they never got their money back, police said. When asked why hadn't the show aired, Alexander said it was pushed back.

Bank records showed Alexander received $23,750 in checks from those businesses, but later had less than $3,000 in her account, according to the police report. She spent money at restaurants, hotels, spas, and salons.

"There was nothing to indicate that the money was used for what it was intended for," the officer wrote.

Both FOX 29 and Love Public Relations said Alexander wasn't affiliated with their businesses, police said.
