Police looking for Best Buy Mobile store burglars

Burglars steal $120,000 from two Best Buy Mobile stores in Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Fort Lauderdale Police Department is investigating a pair of burglaries at Best Buy Mobile stores.

The first burglary happened on April 22 at 2350 North Federal Highway. The second burglary happened on July 3 at 1489 Southeast 17th Street.

During the first burglary, the robbers entered the store by cutting a hole in the roof, police said. They stole $30,000 worth of electronics.

In the second burglary, the robbers entered the store by smashing a hole in the wall of the neighboring business. Police said the robbers stole $90,000 worth of electronic devices.

Detectives believe these burglaries are linked to similar incidents in the city of Largo.
