CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Police arrested a man Tuesday after an officer spotted him allegedly trying to break into a trailer.
Police said an officer saw the man park a 2014 Toyota Corolla behind a trailer in the 1000 block of Asturia Avenue in Coral Gables before trying to manipulate the lock of the trailer in an attempt to steal equipment inside.

The officer said after the man spotted him, the man got back in his car and fled the area as the officer attempted to stop him.
After searching the area, police were able to locate Alexis Gainza Leon, 27, at Cordova Street and Sevilla Avenue, and the vehicle was located in the 1000 block of Palermo Avenue.
Leon was arrested and charged with loitering, fleeing and eluding, tampering with evidence and driving with a revoke or suspended driver's license.
