Police: Man shot outside Miami Gardens home

Man airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center in critical but stable condition

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – A man was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition after police say he was shot outside a home in Miami Gardens.

The shooting happened after 4 p.m. Friday at a house in the 18000 block of Northwest 41st Court.

After arriving at the home, police said officers saw 58-year-old David Wade in the back yard lying on the ground, suffering from a gunshot injury.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews also responded to the scene.

Police said Wade was airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center in critical but stable condition.

It's unclear what led up to the shooting.
