A Miami couple in their forties called two girls fat while at a bar in Key Largo, prompting a brawl, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
According to police, a couple with their 21-year-old daughter and her friend were eating pizza at the bar when 44-year-old George Burns and 43-year-old Midiala Siverio Dunn walked up and tried to grab some of the pizza from the box.
A fight began and the couple called the girls fat, police said. Burns then hit both girls, knocking one to the ground.
Burns and Dunn then left the bar and were confronted in the parking lot by the victim's father. He and Burns began fighting, police said.
A woman in the parking lot approached Dunn, who was standing near the two men, and told her to move out of the way so she didn't get hurt. Police said Dunn then punched the woman.
Burns and Dunn were both treated for injuries at Mariner's Hospital and then arrested.
Burns was charged with three counts of battery. Dunn was charged with battery.
