Police seek 4 suspects in armed robbery

Police say 2 men were robbed, 1 shot while standing in front of house

Miami police provided this video surveillance photo from a nearby gas station of one of the alleged suspects.

MIAMI – Police are currently searching for four suspects involved in an armed robbery take took place in June.

According to the Miami Police Department's Robbery Unit, two men were robbed and one of them was shot on June 15 just before 3 p.m. as they stood in front of a home, located at 1721 Northwest 48th Street.

Detectives said three armed men approached both victims and demanded their belongings, however before fleeing, police said one of the robbers shot one of the men in the thigh as he attempted to run for his life.

Authorities said the three gun-wielding men were last seen fleeing into an awaiting burgundy minivan, possibly a Toyota Sienna.

Miami police described one of the suspects as a black man in his early 20's, approximately 5 foot 8 inches with a slim build and was clean-shaven. He wore a black baseball cap, black shirt and black pants.

Police described two of the other suspects as black men in their early 20's with slim builds. Miami police did not provide a description for the fourth suspect, who they said was possibly the driver of the minivan.

The wounded man was immediately transported via Miami Fire Rescue to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Unit, where police said he was treated and released.
