"Roach activity present as evidenced by live roaches found. 50 plus live roaches found. 20 live found on a crate under a pot in the kitchen, 30 live found under shelf where the steam table for the soup is kept, 6 plus live roaches found under oven in the kitchen."

A few days after this story appeared on Local10.com, the restaurant's owner addressed the issue in an e-mail to Local10.com:

"As owner of this long-standing family tradition, a favorite in the community, I acknowledge that couple of weeks ago we closed for one day to fix a problem we encountered.

With the help of the Inspectors, the problem was fixed and we reopened the next day, and remain open for business as usual.

We have plans to renovate our spot in this old building. Numerous conflicts have caused delays. We will implement those improvements.

Until then, be assured the good food, healthy supplements, friendly atmosphere, and nutritional advice will continue to be provided.

Your support is greatly appreciated."
