Puppies stolen from Stock Island home

Thief breaks into home, steals three puppies

STOCK ISLAND, Fla. – Three pit bull puppies were stolen from a home Thursday on 12th Avenue in Stock Island, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.

The puppies were still with their mother at the time they were taken.

The owner said he was sleeping when the theft occurred. Detectives believe someone pried open a door to gain access to his home.

The puppies are described as "one black with a white under belly. The second puppy was brown with a white cross on his back. The third puppy was white with two brown spots covering his eyes."
