PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. – Florida Fish & Wildlife (FWC) marine mammal biologists made a very unusual rescue on Sunday.

They said they rescued a harbor seal in the Palm Beach Inlet.

Harbor seals are normally only found in the Northern Atlantic Ocean and it is very rare to find one in Florida.

Biologists said the 70-pound female seal appeared very thin, emaciated and tired.

Because of its poor condition, the seal was transported to SeaWorld Orlando for further evaluation and care.
