SANFORD, Fla. – Trial Update: Judge letting George Zimmerman's Seminole State College criminal justice coursework in because she says "bears directly to this case".
That means new witnesses (expect a professor) and jurors will see some of Zimmerman's homework and coursework. Course books include chapters on self defense, strategies for excelling as a witness and psychological/demographic profiling.
State arguing coursework shows Zimmerman was familiar with police procedures and jargon.
Assistant State Attorney Richard Mantei also argued it "goes to defendant's state of mind". "Did he observe or did he profile?"
Note how state using the term "profiled" in the sense of "criminal profiling" not racial profiling.
You may recall during the state's opening statement Assistant State Attorney John Guy would tell jurors that Zimmerman "did not see a young man walking home".
