Restaurant issues found at South Florida yacht club

Dead roaches, rodent droppings found at Coral Ridge Yacht Club

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – An inspector with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation found rodent issues at the Coral Ridge Yacht Club last week.

The facility was ordered to stop selling food, but was allowed to re-open following an ordered clean up and re-inspection.

"Rodent activity present as evidenced by rodent droppings found. Observed about 50 fresh rodent droppings inside dish machine at bar. Observed 2 fresh rodent droppings behind cooler at the end of the bar on the left."

"Potentially hazardous (time/temperature control for safety) a whole turkey cooked yesterday not cooled from 135 degrees Fahrenheit to 41 degrees Fahrenheit within a total of 6 hours. Food has been cooling overnight. See stop sale."

"Dead roaches on premises. One dead roach on floor under pizza oven. Roach was removed."
