Scuba divers hit the water in support of cancer research

Dozens of scuba divers hit the water Saturday to raise money for the American Cancer Society's "Air and Sea Relay for Life"

LAUDERDALE-BY-THE-SEA, Fla. ā€“ Dozens of scuba divers hit the water Saturday to raise money for the American Cancer Society's "Air and Sea Relay for Life".

At least seven scuba teams took turns diving from 6 a.m. to midnight off the coast of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea.

This was the first time Relay for Life hosted the event with scuba divers, who were able to sign an underwater log book, pose for a photo and join a scavenger hunt to help clean reefs.

The group hopes to continue this new diving trend and raise money for cancer research.
