Second suspect arrested in I-95 shooting

2 men charged with first-degree murder

OAKLAND PARK, Fla. – According to Broward County Sheriff's Office, a second suspect was arrested Monday in a shooting death of a man that occured on Interstate 95 on May 5. Ronel Desinor was taken into custody after a warrant was obtained by investigators.

Deputies found the victim, Nicholas Walker, 33, in his silver Buick, crashed into a guard rail on I-95 at approximately 6:40 a.m. on May 5. After deputies and Oakland Fire Rescue put out the fire in the engine compartment, they found that Walker had already died of gunshot wounds.

Resinor's involvement in the homicide is not being revealed. However, the first suspect arrested, Scott Simon, 25, has been described as being the master mind behind the murder.

Simon was arrested on May 21.

Both men are charged with first-degree murder.
