PLANTATION, Fla. – A complaint to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation resulted in an unannounced inspection at Romano's Macaroni Grill in Plantation last week.
State records show a sewage/waste-water leak was found in the kitchen by the cook line.

"Sewage/waste-water leaking through the juncture of the wall and floor at the east end of the cook's line. The water has a foul odor. The water is coming out of the walls at the east end of the cook's line , at the entrance to the kitchen from the dining room and in the dining room. The water also covers the floor area at a service/drink station just inside the entrance to the kitchen. Also observed water seeping out from under the tiled floor near the kitchen rear door."
"All potentially hazardous (time/temperature control for safety) foods in reach-in cooler cold held at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit. All PH food in the Bain Marie cooler on the cook's line. Some was moved to other working coolers and some food was issued an stop sale."
