Wrong-way collision on State Road 84 injures 2

A stretch of eastbound State Road 84 was closed Tuesday after a wrong-way collision that injured two.
The collision occurred shortly before noon in the eastbound lanes, just east of Flamingo Road and Interstate 595 in Davie.
Police say a driver believed to be in his 30s was traveling west in the eastbound lanes when he struck another vehicle.
The wrong-way driver was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The other driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police say it is still not known whether the wrong-way driver was under the influence at the time of the collision.
