Cellphone video captures brawl that led to Shantel McKenzie's arrest

SUNRISE, Fla. – An employee at a Subway restaurant in South Florida was arrested after attacking her manager with a metal pan, police said.

Shantel McKenzie, 21, was arrested after Friday's incident at the Sawgrass Mills mall in Sunrise.

According to the Sunrise police report, McKenzie said that her manager "was being unreasonable and told her to leave the restaurant." They began to argue, "which erupted into a physical fight," the report said.

During the fight, McKenzie picked up a flat metal pan and hit her with it, the report said.

The brawl was captured on cellphone video and posted on Twitter. The video shows another employee trying to break up the fight.

McKenzie was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery. Police said she admitted to causing the fight and "selecting a weapon" to use against her manager.
