Surveillance video of abductor's SUV released

Couple abducts, rapes 11-year-old girl

MIAMI ā€“ Police in Miami released surveillance video showing a sport utility vehicle that investigators believe was used by a man and a woman who abducted, then raped an 11-year-old girl.

The girl was abducted near Northwest 15th Avenue and 50th Street on June 6 while walking home from school. A camera at a home along Northwest 15th Avenue captured the video.

"As you can see, it's a gray SUV. You'll see it pull up. You'll see the little girl walking away and then towards this SUV," said Miami Police Sgt. Freddie Cruz. "This happened in broad daylight. We want to capture these people before they strike again."

The girl returned home about four hours later -- bruised and scared. She told police the man lured her into a light-blue sport utility vehicle that a woman was driving, then drove her far away to a house she described as junky (sketch pictured below). The man raped her, then brought her back to the neighborhood.

Police released sketches of the couple. He is described as tall and heavy set with spiked hair and tattoos on his arms, and was last seen wearing a green shirt, khaki shorts and black shoes. A woman with him is described as having purple or dark-burgundy hair.

The family said they received calls from others describing near abductions after the incident.

"This is somebody's daughter, somebody's sister. This is a member of the community," said Cruz. "We need to put these people behind bars. We can't have another victim fall prey to these animals, these savages."
