MIAMI – A 17-year-old boy was arrested and charged with multiple counts Tuesday after an early morning home invasion in Miami.
At 3 a.m. Saturday, Jean-Paul Lausell and his family arrived at their home on Margaret Street after a Halloween party.

As they were entering items from their car to the home, Miami police said they were approached by two masked and armed men who demanded their money and jewelry.
When Lausell heard the commotion, he ran to the front of the home and confronted one of the men.
A struggle ensued and Lausell was knocked to the ground and then shot in the abdomen area, police said.
The other victims, who authorities said were hiding in the garage, then came to Lausell's aid.
However, police said both gunmen pointed the weapons at them and continued to demand their property, including money, cellphones and jewelry. Both suspects then fled the home.
One of the suspects, 17-year-old Jermaine Michael Pinnacle, was arrested Tuesday. Police said he was charged with one count of armed occupied burglary with a battery therein, one count of attempted felony murder, four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, five counts of false imprisonment, one count of use of a firearm in commission of a felony and one count of possession of a firearm by adjudged delinquent.
The second suspect remains at large. Miami police described him as a black male in his late teens to mid 20s, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and has a thin to medium build.
