Group of young adults break into Ray Allen's home

Police: Shannon Walker Allen home alone with kids when break-in occurred

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Seven people were questioned  by Coral Gables police after they allegedly broke into former Miami Heat guard Ray Allen's home early Thursday morning.

Police said Allen's wife Shannon Walker Allen was asleep in her bedroom with her children when heard noises and saw the light's from what is believed to be the suspects' flashlights.

Police said Mrs. Allen shouted out "What the (expletive) are you doing in my house?" Immediately she heard one of the women say "Oh my God."  Police said the group of young adults believed to be in their early 20s then ran out of the house laughing.

According to detectives, the suspects believed the home was empty and wanted to see what Ray Allen's home looked like after they left a house party next door around 2:30 a.m. Detectives said the suspects broke into the home through a door that had a faulty lock. They found the group at another home shortly after.

At this time no charges have been filed. Police said it is up to Mrs. Allen to decide whether she wants to press charges.

Nothing was reported stolen from the Allen home.
