Samantha Freeman is accused of stabbing her son's boyfriend.

KEY WEST, Fla. – A Texas woman was arrested Thursday night, accused of stabbing her son's girlfriend during a visit to the Florida Keys.

Monroe County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Becky Herrin said deputies were called to a Grassy Key home several times during the evening before the stabbing took place. Herrin said the 25-year-old victim told deputies that her boyfriend's parents were visiting and she didn't get along with his mother, Samantha Freeman, 64, of Weatherford, Texas.

At one point, the victim called her boyfriend and threatened to throw all of his belongings outside, so his parents tried to stop her, Herrin said.

Deputies arrived as Freeman was removing a screen from a window in an attempt to get inside the house, Herrin said.

When deputies went back to the home for the final time, they found the victim bleeding from a large cut on her right forearm. She told deputies that Freeman had punched her in the throat, stabbed her with a knife and repeatedly threatened to kill her.

Freeman was arrested on charges of battery, aggravated assault and aggravated battery. The victim was treated for her injuries.
