Police say suspect shot father, son during fight

Vincent Jones is accused of fatally shooting a father and son outside Ray's Meat Market in Fort Lauderdale.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. ā€“ A Lauderhill man has been arrested in connection with Tuesday's fatal shooting of a father and son in Fort Lauderdale.

Fort Lauderdale police said Vincent Jones, 48, was arrested Wednesday night in Pompano Beach on two counts of first-degree murder.

Jones is accused of shooting Seibert Prescott, 63, and Roger Bennett, 30, in the parking lot of Ray's Meat Market.

Police said Prescott and Bennett were arguing with Jones at nearby Blue Park when it turned physical. Police said the fight spilled into the parking lot, and Jones shot the men as they were trying to run away.
