POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – A visitation was held Monday evening for a 4-year-old boy found dead in his mother's apartment.
The visitation for Antwan Hope was held at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, located at 1525 NW 7th Street in Pompano Beach.

Hope's mother, Destene Simmons, was arrested last week on an outstanding traffic warrant. After she posted bond, she was Baker Acted.
Simmons lost custody of Hope in 2011 when police say she tried to smother him.
A Broward County Circuit Court judge released the boy's body to his family for burial. His funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
The medical examiner has yet to release the cause of death.
