HIALEAH, Fla. -

The Hialeah Fire Department evacuated a Walmart on Monday morning while crews worked to repair a gas leak.

Construction crews severed the two-inch line at the southwest corner of West 49th Street between 4th and 5th Avenues, according to Hialeah Fire Department spokesman Captain Cesar Espinosa.

The gas company clamped the line, and the shutdown affected Walmart, Harbor Freight, and CiCis pizza.

No injuries were reported. All eastbound and westbound traffic on W. 49th Street from the 500 block to W. 4th Avenue was closed.
