The Broward Sheriff's Office arrested a 16-year-old boy wanted for armed carjacking after a three hour standoff.
A Hollywood police officer saw the teenager outside 2424 Wily Street Tuesday evening.
The Broward Sheriff's Office SWAT unit used tear gas to force the teenager out of his home. He was arrested without incident.
The teenager was accused of carjacking a Fort Lauderdale parking enforcement officer on April 7. Her car and radio were stolen.
Police had identified the teenager and Trevante Simms as suspects. Simms was later shot and killed at a house part in Miramar.
