Water advisory issued in Miami Beach

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – A precautionary water advisory was issued for parts of Miami Beach Tuesday after a wastewater line broke.

It's unclear what caused the break. The line is at Dade Boulevard between Convention Center Drive and Meridian Avenue.

The city advised people to stay out of the water in the Collins Canal, Indian Creek, and Biscayne Bay along the western shoreline of Miami Beach from Government Cut to the Kennedy Causeway (79th Street Causeway).

The Miami-Dade County Department of Environmental Resource Management and Department of Health will be sampling the waters.
