Most 73-year-olds aren't setting weight-lifting records.
However, Sandra Foli of Bloomington, Ill. isn't a typical 73-year-old. After a severe health scare several years ago, she decided to head to get her physical fitness on track and head to the gym.
Her hard work has paid off. Foli recently set a record in the 100 Percent Raw Powerlifting competition, where she completed a clean dead lift of 181.5 pounds.
"I see people one or two years older than I in a wheel chair and I don’t ever want to be there," Foli told KFOR.
Foli plans to continue competitive weight-lifting. She will be heading to another competition in October, where she will both dead lift and bench press.
