Driver charged in 2 deaths bonds out of jail

Alyza Russell faces 2 counts of DUI manslaughter

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The 22-year-old driver accused of fatally hitting two men with her mother's Porsche in Fort Lauderdale bonded out of jail Saturday.

Alyza Russell was released from jail three days after she turned herself in for two counts of DUI manslaughter.

Russell is charged in the death of 30-year-old Mackendy Jules and 35-year-old Samuel Artez Martindale.

Russell had a 0.17 blood alcohol level -- more than twice Florida's 0.08 legal limit -- at the time of the crash on June 13, police said. The crash occurred in a parking lot along West Broward Boulevard and 5th Avenue in Fort Lauderdale.
