TAMARAC, Fla. – A woman was shot on Florida's Turnpike just north of the Cypress Creek Toll Plaza Saturday night.
Florida Highway Patrol says that the incident may have been the result of a traffic altercation.
A man driving a black sedan, possibly an Infiniti with dark tinted windows, fired two shots at the victim's white Dodge Journey.
The victim, Tonika L. Clark, 31, from Fort Lauderdale was seated in the right rear passenger seat and was shot twice. She was taken to Broward Health North in stable condition.
The suspect fled northbound on the Turnpike.
