The Humane Society of Broward County is hoping someone will open their home to a pig.

"Pork Chop" would love a home with a yard and lots of veggies, located in a city that welcomes pigs.

He was recently abandoned by his family.  A landlord tried to take care of him but then turned him over to the shelter.

Pork Chop is 15 weeks old and weighs 40 pounds. He loves to burrow himself in his bed and blankets

He's expected to grow to 80 pounds.

The Humane Society of Broward County receives only a handful of pigs every year.

Adoption fee for Pork Chop is $100.

Anyone interested in adopting him can visit the shelter at 2070 Griffin Road in Dania Beach or call 954-989-3977. Adoptions open daily at 10 a.m.
