MIAM – The Miami-Dade County Commission honored the Miami Norland Senior High School state champion basketball team Tuesday morning.
The team won the class 6A championship for the second year in a row by defeating Pine Forest.

April 2, 2013, was also declared "Miami Norland Senior High School basketball team Class 6A Championship Day."
The team must raise $3,600 to afford its state championship rings.
