It's been a busy 24 hours for Dolphins owner Stephen Ross, but his work is not done.  Ross is set to meet with Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy on Thursday in New York to complete his 3rd coaching interview in two days.

Ross, along with GM Jeff Ireland, met with current interim coach Todd Bowles and Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin on Wednesday.  While no one candidate is considered the favorite to land the job, sources indicate Ross is leaning toward an offensive minded coach.  That would move McCoy and Philbin to the top of the list.

While both led NFL offenses, they do have different styles.  McCoy proved he could work well with what he has by transforming an entire offense in midseason to work with Tim Tebow.  Meanwhile, Philbin has helped a west coast offense in Green Bay excel as one of the most explosive units in the NFL since 2007.  Both are considered in NFL circles as dynamic offensive minds, and both are being considered for other head coaching jobs.

Ross is expected to make his decision on the new head coach as soon as Thursday night.  More likely, the team will make an official announcement on Friday.  The team has no other interviews scheduled, so it appears one of these three men will be the next head coach.
