The NBA announced today that Miami HEAT forward LeBron James was named Eastern Conference Player of the Month for March. It's James' 10th as a member of the Heat, the most by a player in Heat franchise history. It's also James' fifth Player of the Month honor this season, becoming the first player in NBA history to receive the honor in five straight  months during a single season.

James averaged 25.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 1.82 steals while shooting 53.2 percent from the field in March. He recorded one triple-double and 10 double-doubles.

James helped lead Miami to an NBA-best 17-1 (.944) March record. The 17 wins are the most during a single month in NBA history.
