Marlins trade Heath Bell
The Miami Marlins traded closer Heath Bell to Arizona.
The Marlins announced Saturday that Bell was sent to the Diamondbacks for minor league infielder Yordy Cabrera.
Marlins President of baseball operations Larry Beinfest said, "This should be a positive change for Heath and the Marlins. After a disappointing 2012, Heath gets a fresh start and this move gives us clarity as we begin our offseason roster improvement."
Bell finished the first year with the Marlins with a 4-5 record, 5.09 ERA, and 19 saves in 27 opportunities.
