The University of Miami men's basketball team returned to campus Monday after securing its second ever appearance in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament.
Miami edged Illinois 63-59 in the third round of the tournament Sunday.
The team arrived at Miami International Airport about noon Monday.
"It really hasn't sunk in yet," said senior Julian Gamble. "I mean, it's all been kind of going so fast."
"It's a huge accomplishment for our program, and that's what we really want to do. We want to go out there and establish Miami basketball as a powerhouse," said sophomore Shane Larkin.
Miami faces Marquette at 7:15 p.m. Thursday in Washington, D.C.
"You have to kind of rise to the occasion and rise to the level of competition," coach Jim Larranaga.
