Hurricanes hoops releases non-conference schedule

Season includes trip to Puerto Rico

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Miami Hurricanes basketball team released their non-conference schedule on Wednesday.

The 'Canes will host seven games as part of their 12-game non-conference schedule.

Miami will also play a pair of road games at Nebraska and La Salle, and three games in Puerto Rico.

Following an exhibition game against Dowling on Nov. 4, Miami opens the season with back-to-back home games against University of Texas Rio Grande Valley on Nov. 13 and then Louisiana on Nov. 16.

The 'Canes then head to Puerto Rico for a tournament with Butler, Minnesota, Missouri State, Temple, Texas Tech and Utah.

On Nov. 27, Miami returns home to host Northeastern.

On Dec. 1, Miami travels to Nebraska for the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

Miami plays Charlotte on Dec. 5.

The 'Canes host the Gators on Dec. 8.

Miami closes out the non-conference schedule at La Salle on Dec. 22 and at home against Princeton on Dec. 29.

Miami has been ranked in a pair of preseason polls.
