FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Rookie members of the Miami Dolphins football team gave back to the community Wednesday by helping repair the home of veteran Roger Carter.

Carter served in the Air Force from 1967-71 and was the first black missile chief.

He lives with his wife Charlotte and said he was "overwhelmed" when asked about the players' act of kindness.

"It feels really nice to be out here helping and giving back," said Ja'Wuan James.
