MIAMI – Marlins ace Jose Fernandez was named National League Rookie of the Month.
It's the second straight month Fernandez has received the honor.

He had a 1.15 ERA and struck out 49 batters.
The Marlins plan to shut Fernandez down early this year to protect his arm.
Fernandez is expected to have an innings limit of around 170.
