MIAMI – Florida International University has kicked its leading rusher off the football team.
The school released a statement, saying: "FIU Athletics has announced running back Kedrick Rhodes has been dismissed from the football program due to a violation of team policy."
The school did not specify which policy.
However, a published report indicated that Rhodes was arrested over the weekend, accused of discharging a weapon on school property.
Rhodes led the Panthers with 717 yards last season.
