CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Canes defensive line coach is leaving for the NFL.
Jethro Franklin will become the Raiders defensive line coach.

Franklin said, "Coaching in the NFL has always been a dream, but coaching in the NFL in my hometown is the opportunity of a lifetime."
Franklin said he was proud to move Miami from the 90th ranked to 14th ranked defense this past season.
Coach Al Golden said, "I could not be happier for Jethro and his family. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work where he grew up and join his father and family in Oakland."
No word yet on his UM replacement.
