MIAMI – In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, the Miami Heat will host a Red, White and Pink game Oct. 1 at the AmericanAirlines Arena.
The game, presented by Baptist Health Breast Cancer, is an open scrimmage that is free and open to the public, but those wishing to attend will be required to register for a ticket on the Ticketmaster website beginning Tuesday at 10. a.m. There is also a four-ticket maximum per transaction.

Heat players will wear special edition Red, White and Pink shirts, which will be auctioned off on Oct. 2, with all proceeds going to Baptist Health Breast Cancer research. The first 5,000 Heat fans in attendance will receive a free special edition shirt.
The scrimmage will resemble a regular NBA game with four quarters and a halftime show that will feature a ceremony that honors local survivors of breast cancer. The national anthem will be performed, as well as performances by the Heat dancers, Burnie and the Xtreme Team.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the game will begin at 7 p.m.
