CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami earned one of the top eight national seeds in the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship and will meet Florida International in the first game of the Coral Gables regional.
Miami earned the No. 5 national seed, giving the Hurricanes home-field advantage throughout the 64-team tournament.

The Hurricanes (44-14) captured the Atlantic Coast Conference Coastal Division title and have won 14 of their last 15 games. Their only blemish during that time was a 12-inning setback to North Carolina State in the ACC tournament.
Joining the Hurricanes in the Coral Gables regional are East Carolina, Columbia and crosstown rival Florida International.
The Panthers earned a berth in the NCAA tournament by winning the Conference USA championship Sunday.
Miami hasn't missed the NCAA tournament since 1972.
