After the game, Redmond and bench coach Rob Leary were both let go.

This was Redmond's third season with the Marlins.

The team will name his replacement during an 11 a.m. news conference on Monday.

"We came in, had a team meeting (and) they made the decision," Marlins reliever Steve Cishek said. "It was a bit of a surprise, obviously, so just feel bad for them, and again, it's not their fault."
