Miami Dolphins to sell old Sun Life Stadium seats

Season ticket holders will get first chance to buy piece of team history

Sun Life Stadium is home to the Miami Dolphins.

DAVIE, Fla. – Miami Dolphins fans will get the chance to own a piece of Sun Life Stadium this week.

The team is selling a limited number of original stadium seats that were removed because of stadium renovations this offseason. The seats will be autographed by Dolphins legends.

An online stadium seat auction is now available on the team website.

Season ticket holders from the 1960s and 1970s will have the first opportunity to purchase seats at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Season ticket holders from the 1980s and 1990s will get the chance to buy seats at noon. All season ticket holders from 2000 to now will get their chance beginning at 1 p.m.

The general public can start purchasing seats at 2 p.m.

Among the current and former players to sign the seats are Dan Marino, Ryan Tannehill and Jason Taylor. Starting bids range from $500 to $5,000.

The Dolphins are also selling seatbacks for $20. They can be picked up at Sun Life Stadium on July 18 or purchased online and shipped for $35.

All sales benefit the Miami Dolphins Foundation, which supports South Florida programs in education, health and volunteerism.
