Miami Hurricanes picked to win ACC Coastal

GREENSBORO, N.C. -

Atlantic Coast Conference media members on Monday picked the University of Miami Hurricanes to win the ACC Coastal division.

The Hurricanes received 65 first-place votes in the preseason poll, and 82 more total points than second place Virginia Tech.

Clemson was picked to win the Atlantic Division and to beat the Canes in the conference championship.

Miami running back Duke Johnson received four votes for preseason player of the year. Quarterback Stephen Morris received one vote. Clemson's Taj Boyd was picked to be named player of the year.
