Miami Hurricanes release 2015 football schedule

Hurricanes visit FSU in October, host Ga. Tech in final home game

CORAL GABLES, Fla. ā€“ The Miami Hurricanes will travel to Florida State in October and host the defending Orange Bowl champions in their final home game of the 2015 season.

Miami released the schedule Thursday in conjunction with the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The Hurricanes open the season at home Sept. 5 against Bethune-Cookman and then travel to Boca Raton on Sept. 12 to face Florida Atlantic at FAU Stadium.

Nebraska comes to Sun Life Stadium on Sept. 19 before Miami has a bye week and consecutive road trips at Cincinnati (Oct. 1) and Florida State (Oct. 10). The Seminoles haven't lost to Miami since 2009.

The Hurricanes then host Virginia Tech (Oct. 17) and Clemson (Oct. 24) on consecutive weekends.

Miami travels to Duke on Halloween, hosts Virginia on Nov. 7 and visits North Carolina on Nov. 14.

The Hurricanes conclude their home schedule against Georgia Tech on Nov. 21. The Yellow Jackets defeated Mississippi State, 49-34, at Sun Life Stadium on New Year's Eve for their first Orange Bowl victory since 1951.

Miami's final game of the regular season is Nov. 27 at Pittsburgh.

In all, Miami will play nine opponents that participated in a bowl game last season.
